The Monkey Tail Cactus, scientifically known as Cleistocactus winteri ssp. colademononis, is a unique and visually striking cactus species native to Bolivia. The Monkey Tail Cactus gets its name from its long, trailing stems that resemble the tail of a monkey. These stems can grow up to several feet in length and are covered with fine golden spines. During the blooming season, which typically occurs in late spring to early summer, the cactus produces small, tubular flowers that are usually red or orange in color.
