Cinnamon Tree

A Cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum verum or Cinnamomum zeylanicum) can actually be a fantastic addition as a houseplant, especially if you’re interested in edible plants or adding a bit of an exotic flair to your collection. The bark is the source of cinnamon spice. Once the plant is a few years old, you can harvest small sections of the bark. Leaves can also be used for teas and cooking, giving a subtle, cinnamon-like flavor.

🌞Light: Bright indirect light is ideal, with morning or evening direct light also acceptable.

💧Water: Water when the soil is almost dry.

⛲Humidity: Moderate Humidity

✂Propagation: It can be propagated through stem cuttings in water or soil, or through air layering, which involves rooting a branch while it is still attached to the mother plant.
